Musical style

Their style started to change in their third album, Braindead×Braindead12 February 2016 · Studio albumSpotifyYouTube Music (search)Tracklist · 10 tracks1I Am the Antidote6:112Riot4:193Mad Torture5:374Hollow Eyes6:225Rage Me Up4:136Hangover Activator3:317Only (My) Death Is Certain8:018P.S.T. 882:539Terror Hungry (Californian Easy Listening version)4:3110Overdosed Brain (live)5:18 (2016). While Braindead is still considered a thrash metal album, the band started incorporating elements of groove metal and metalcore to their music and most of the lyrics started to shift to other topics rather than partying and binge drinking. This trend became more evident in their fourth album, No Absolution×No Absolution21 February 2020 · Studio albumSpotifyYouTube Music (search)Tracklist · 10 tracks1No Absolution4:092Mark Upon Your Skin3My Prophecy4Deliver Me5:015Artificial6Nonbeliever7Blood on Your Hands8Worthless9Pray for Death10Outbreak (No Rest for the Sickest) (2020), in which the band completely moved away from thrash metal. No Absolution can be classified as a blend of metalcore, death metal, groove metal, and nu metal. The lyrics in No Absolution focus on religion and its negative influence on people and society. Their fifth album If The Sky Came Down×If the Sky Came Down7 October 2022 · Studio albumSpotifyYouTube Music (search)Tracklist · 10 tracks11123:502What Have I Done4:023(We Are the) Braindead3:394Stitches3:305Awake5:126Underneath4:047Creature3:578Hurt Me4:299If the Sky Came Down4:3010Suffocating5:18 (2022) has shown the fans a more modern musical style. If the Sky Came Down is, similarly to No Absolution, a metalcore album mixed with nu metal and groove metal. The lyrics in their fifth album have angsty and existential dread themes. This stylistic direction would continue further in their next album Hell Is a State of Mind×Hell Is a State of Mind6 March 2026 · Studio albumSpotifyYouTube MusicTracklist · 10 tracks1Afterlife3:102Blood Diamond3:403Synthetic3:344Is This What You Wanted3:335L’appel du vide4:096Kill the Light4:477No Longer Human3:238Dead People Scare Me (but the Living Make Me Sick)3:339Personal Judas3:3310Hell Is a State of Mind4:49 (2026), which also saw the band incorporate symphonic elements.
